    Virtual online sessions are accessible to clients located throughout Illinois & Michigan.

  • All you need is Wi-Fi and a device with a screen (i.e. phone, tablet or computer).

    Prior to your session, we’ll send you a link that is exclusive to you for use at the time of our session. Sessions take place on a confidential HIPAA compliant platform.

    We are licensed to provide therapy in Illinois & Michigan. So, if you are physically in either Illinois or Michigan at the time of the session, we are licensed to provide therapy to you.



  • Your therapist will go over this with you, too, but here’s an overview:

    We use a HIPAA-secure system that is similar to FaceTime or Skype. It’s called Simple Practice (for Apple and Android users).

    To use it on a smartphone or iPad, you’ll need to download an app (just once). If using a laptop or computer, no download is needed.

    A strong and reliable internet or wi-fi connection ensures a great experience.

    Prior to each session, you are emailed a link specific to you & your meeting time. Click the link and we’re ON!

  • There’s a brief intake that we’ll send you when you request an appointment.

    The intake includes a series of questions that help ensure that our expertise is a good fit for the concerns that you'd like to address.

    In the event that our expertise is not a good fit, we’ll inform you of this and offer you several referrals that are better suited to you and what you’d like to address.

  • Your concern may initially appear to be outside of our scope of expertise, yet, after further discussion or through what you share in the intake, we may determine that our areas of expertise may be a good fit for your goals.

    If, in fact, we are not a fit for what you’d like to address or achieve, we’ll offer you referral sources that may be better suited to your circumstances.

  • If you’re a new client, we’ll send you a brief intake packet via a confidential platform for you to complete. Upon review, we’ll determine whether our expertise is in alignment with what you’d like to address and achieve. We’ll reach out with next steps to either schedule a session or we’ll offer referral sources that may be better suited to what you’d like to address.

    If you are a current client, future sessions are scheduled at the time of your current session or via email.

  • Standard sessions for individuals are 45 minutes (but can be altered to 30, 60 or 90 minutes).

    We offer Intensives ranging from 90 min to 3 hours per session -- taking place over the course of 1 day to 2 months, depending on your needs. If you're looking to feel better faster, check out our Intensive offerings, HERE.

    In terms of the length or overall duration of therapy over the course of several weeks/months, we’ll determine that together. Once we’ve met and discussed your concerns and your goals for our work together, we’ll have a better sense of a realistic timeframe and the best session options for YOU.

  • Typically, we meet weekly or every other week.

    But, our focus is on making this work for you and your schedule!

    We’ll personalize the frequency & session length to your circumstances, what you want to achieve, what feels right, & what’s clinically appropriate. For more information on this, please go to our Services Overview page.

  • For Traditional Sessions:We require 48 hours notice of cancellation for you to avoid the $180.00 cancellation fee.

    If you “late cancel” (less than 48 hours notice) or “no show” to any session, there is a $180.00 fee. No Exceptions.

    For Intensives: A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking. This deposit is non-renfundable.


    The remaining balance is due on Day 1 of the Intensive. By booking the Intensive, you have purchased this time and it is yours unless you cancel at least 2 weeks prior to Day 1.


    If you cancel the Intensive within 2 weeks of Day 1, you will be charged the total amount of the Intensive Package. No exceptions.


  • The short answer is no, we do not accept insurance.

    All of our services are private pay - with a credit card, FSA, or HSA card.

    Like most specialty providers, our boutique practice is a Self-Pay practice, and we do not work with or have any affiliation with Insurance Carriers.

    Paying "out-of-pocket" offers clients maximum privacy, confidentiality, along with transparency and clarity regarding fees.

    In addition, we’re happy to provide receipts upon request for HSA or FSA accounts (with the fee amount and a designation of "Professional Services.")

    We do not work with insurance carriers in-network or out-of-network and thus, do not provide Superbills.

    (Please feel free to inquire about REDUCED FEE OPTIONS. We occasionally have space to work with clients in the traditional format for a reduced fee and are happy to offer this option if we have space available at the time of your inquiry.)

  • To help maximize your time and focus, we strongly encourage you to bring a list (or make a mental list) of the “important” & “big” subjects you want to dig into, share, or get feedback on.

    This can be anything that happens between sessions, (i.e. stuff that pops up from your past, things that weigh on you or that you think about often, experiences or thoughts that have come up from homework, experiences with people in your life or things you have been working on in sessions).

    You truly get as much out of this work as you put into it.

    What we encourage & what our clients will attest to is this…
